a video air tractor will never need to make
Many problems with the GE turbine on Thrushes here in Brazil…a very, very expensive problem with very poor support…
I understand this comment. We are working hard with GE to rectify. The H80 is a very good engine when working.
Now I want one !! 🍺 😎 👍
Let’s make it happen!
Thrush are built 100 miles away from my home in Ga. Didn't the same guy design and build both aircraft. His last name was Snow?
Hi Johnny. You are correct. Leland Snow designed both product lines.
When they steal your fuel... will you hug the cops?
Sorry to hear you are Canadian....or affiliated with em....ceot the truckers .
el simulador de satloc para la pc donde lo puedo bajar?
Daddy always loves the thrush 600 to turbine . Turbine was his favorite cause he climbed straight and turn so hard . Air tractor can never out do the thrush .
what equipment is suitable with this atomizer (cables, pumps, ...)
Flying under wires 😨
Musta been a long time ago……thrush hasn’t been in albany Georgia for years…..great company, shitty city……
Much Respect, Sir. I hear in your voice and see in your eyes the reflections of a pilot that is operating daily in an area of aviation physics that has the rest of us aviators on the first memory items of a checklist! Watching you breathe over the top field of flowers is awe inspiring to anyone that has ever had the privilege of of flying as a guest in the sky.
Why turbine for ag operations? They are usually higher altitude performance.
@@adenw.4430 lol I’m sure a Cessna 172 would not cut the mustard.
We just got one of those... Its amazing the tight maneuvering you can do! Will pull a loaded 402 if you have to too!
I love this plain turbo thrush S2R T34 PT6A 750 CV
Hi Mr . I love it too.
That’s why I fly Space freighters , yea , I could fly through a star or bounce closely off a supernova .....but I have a former African -galactic droid navicomputer to provide precise calculations from place to place , but it’s not like crop dustin’
I have lots of AG time and in all my years i did not have one Air Tractor wing drop at all.Have not flown a Thrush yet so i can not tell the difference.I love Air Tractors
who ever came up with the name Thrush needs a slap ,,,
The Thrush is a mean ass little bird that can fly like hell...
I start out with 1 notch
Wrong on airtractor takeoff, I let the tail start skipping and add flaps, flys right off, quickly. 802
I've met dozens of pilots who got into AG, got a health condition from the chemicals then lost their medicals and employment. The AG companies don't care if you lose your license or die from the chemicals your exposed to. I had 6,000 hours and ten years just to lose it when I started AG flying.
@@tailwheelflier I was over exposed to parathion and had several seizures. Haven't had any more since moving away from that job. I was trying to get into the industry so I was volunteering to pay my dues and get experience. The AG company owner calls me every year to remind me that I never worked for him and that he wasn't at fault for anything that happened to me, I remind him I'm poor and can't afford a lawyer anyways. I take comfort in the fact that his sons a heroin addict, his wife and other employees hate him, and he took the aerial spray company he inherited with seven airports and 50 planes and 100 employees and reduced it to one plane and three employees and still can barely keep that afloat.
@@ergot57 life's the greatest teacher we have. I'll take common sense over a degree any day. The constitution and it's amendment are common senses. I think it's academia that's covering up most of the atrocities through obfuscation and double speak business jargon. I'm not college educated but started taking classes so I can get an A&P through a community college. The social science classes really push the marxist/communist perspective. If I never lived and worked in the real world for 20 years before going to college, I would probably believe the crap their teaching. It's even in the math classes these days! The education sytem should be re named "the indoctrination system". Where are all the free loving american patriots at?
Well Aren't You a Jack Off,,,,@@hud86
I call this the Bull Thrush. I started with the 600 hp radial at the age of 18, i am 65 and still enjoy it. The Turbo really completes the flying controls. Its a bicycle in the air.
u can always tell a good pilot very humble no bragging
I’m a lover of the Ag-Cat but you’ve made me take a second look at the Thrush.
The Thrush 550 & 710 have the same U/C spring gear setup as the AT . Does this make any difference to the handling compared to the tripod ?
About the tail height and fly below power lines I THINK that should be more safer and profitible fly higher. Flying so low doesnt increase your work performance just because your swath widht sprayed will be decreased as the height of the ground. Fly so low like this is just fun for those who doesnt know what are doing.
They do that to prevent drift of the chemical.
@@Mr.McWatson sure! But you spray in windy days!? Here in Brasil we have wind speed limits to ensure the job eficience. More than limit, aircraft is grounded specialy to prevent side effects.
During windy days yes, though I'm not sure how windy
@@Mr.McWatson - Under 12-14 knots depending on application and location.
Que poder capitán saludos desde Costa Rica
Que buena Maquina
My english is really bad but I want to know if I heard you saying that you flew in Quebec over st-Laurence river? if I understood you moved in Australia for crop dusting because of the opportunity to build turbine hours. If that's the case in you are aware of canadian jobs here just tell me please. Thank you and I should tell you too that you are a model for me because I really want to do the switch and give a try flying aircraft like that but it's just a simple question of fear to not be able to find some jobs after investing into that. I'm 40 years old also and I don't know if I'm stupid to do that so late like that.
Hello Patrice....let me in into this question with my personal view. I moved to AG aviation at 46 years old. Now I´m moving from Brazil to Europe at 53 y.o. As you can see, there is no "too old" around the forties...That is not Fighter jet squadron or Lufthansa Airliner...It´s a Crop Piloting. It´s not piece of cake but it´s possible if you really want to and have the skills. Au revoir!
Parce que el AG Trush es lo máximo de estos tiempos. Mi hermano Hernán se mató el año 1961 fumigando en un Aeronca.
Aeronca?? Para locos. Eso no tiene fuerza.
